Welcome to the Color of Health, and feel "In The Pink" again.

Dr. Peggy Holmes, the owner of The Color of Health, started her search for health in the mid 1970s, when she began studying the restorative health benefits of pure raw food and natural herbs. In the midst of this, her interest in natural healing peaked, and she began a study of psychology, shortly thereafter, changing to a major in science, with the goal of a study in Chiropractic.

The fall of 1981, she attended Cleveland Chiropractic School in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduation, in 1984, Dr. Holmes opened her practice in Manteca, CA, armed with the science of how our bodies are made and how they function.

As she entered the phase of the art of working with many people, she quickly realized that everyone required a little bit different treatment, and learned that many adjusting techniques was an absolute necessity.

The study of nutrition also continued, and she worked with many nutritional companies with mixed results. She found, through personal experience, that raw foods and unadulterated herbs were the most effective.

Realizing the need for an effective program of how to apply herbs and food so the body could heal itself she learned of Dr. Christopher's School of Natural Healing. She completed their three year program in 18 months, earning Nutritional Herbalist, Herbalist, and Master Herbalist status.

In 2006, she began studying Cranial Sacral Techniques, an effective addition to Chiropractic adjustments and natural foods. She received some of her training through the Upledger Institute. In 2009, she completed a three week, on site, intensive Life Change Program in West Palm Beach, Florida. This provided more training in raw foods and nutrients plus emotional and physical well being.

Dr. Peggy has also trained and counseled using the effective Genesis Addiction Counseling, working with women undergoing domestic violence. Her group received the Making a Difference Award through a women's center serving domestic violence victims. She received other certificates of appreciation from two other women's centers.

Our bodies are very complicated.
What are you doing for your health today and for your future?
